Tonight Station 2 volunteers In Truck 1 with a crew of 5 participated in the Snow Hill Christmas Parade.
We all had a great time!

Santa made a guest appearance at the Station 2 Christmas party last night, and a good time was had by all.

Members of our Mobile Integrated Health Team presented to a standing room only crowd at the MIH Summit in Tampa, FL this morning. This national conference brings healthcare leaders together to discuss new initiatives and trends that are occurring in the Mobile Integrated Health field.  Their presentation looked at reducing the number of falls that occur in the Salisbury Fire District.  Approximately 12% of our EMS calls are for someone who has fallen and the steps they’re taking will reduce this number and improve patient care.  The SWIFT/MDCN team is a collaborative approach to alternative healthcare that includes the Salisbury Fire Department, Tidal Health, and the Wicomico County Health Department.

This evening, members from station 2, in Utility 2, participated in Cambridge, Maryland's Christmas Parade!

Congratulations to SFD Station 2 volunteer paramedic Dr. Aaron Sebach! Dr. Sebach recently achieved certification as a Maryland Instructor Trainer Review Board (MICRB) Instructor Trainer (IT). He is the only MICRB IT on the Lower Eastern Shore to teach Instructor II, Instructor III, and PDI courses.

Members of station 2 were at Home Depot this morning for their kids fire safety workshop.

Salisbury Fire Department Station 2 Volunteer Paramedic Dr. Charles Dolan presented today at ’s Trauma Conference. Dr. Dolan shared evidence-based pediatric trauma insights for pre-hospital and ED teams.

In addition volunteering as a paramedic, Dr. Dolan serves as Vice President of Clinical Operations at TidalHealth.

Last night members trained on pumping evolutions and handlines.

SFD Station 2 Volunteer Paramedics Dr. Aaron Sebach and Dr. Charles Dolan presented with Fire Chief Frampton today at EMS World in Las Vegas. Their presentation “Rethinking MIH Program Financial Sustainability: Innovative Strategies Beyond Making a Dollar” highlighted the continued success of the department’s Mobile Integrated Health program (SWIFT/MDCN) in collaboration with TidalHealth.

This evening, station 2 had SIXTEEN new members sworn into the department! We are thrilled to have them all, and we look forward to helping them thrive within the Salisbury Fire Department.
