We tried something new yesterday! Very, very different from anything Austin has ever driven. Heavy, full body car, 4/10ths mile track with 14 degrees of banking and both corners are different from each other. Top speed of about 65mph and very bumpy. We took a ride down to Dillon Motor Speedway and tested a Bando for the first time. Austin did very well thanks to Ron Thomas and his guys. They put him out to start behind a control car until he got comfortable and then let him go by himself. Super fun. Not sure what the plan is just yet but hopefully we can get a few races in before the end of the season!

Last minute deal but Austin got to run his second race out at Millbridge Saturday night! Austin was fast!!! Qualified p3 of 27. 2nd in his heat. Got caught up in a crash on lap two 👎🏻. Couple of cars got together in front of him and then hooked each other and spun down the track leaving Austin know where to go. Couple more cars piled into us from behind so unfortunately we were pretty hurt. Bent the RF spindle and broke the rf steering arm. Austin figured out if he drug the brake in the corner he could keep control of the car. It started raining during the race making the track super slick and the kid still drove it back to 6th! He had a blast. We had fun watching him, I got to see some old pit crew buddies that I had not seen in a long time… just a night that was good for the soul!

Thanks again to Clay and The Longest Yard for being on board this season!

Looks like the rain is the only one taking trophies home today… 👎🏻

Due to over night storms and more still to come we have made the tough decision to cancel today’s event.

Our first scheduled rain makeup date is May 17. We will make this event up at that time.

I think what struck me the most after thinking about this race was how different the track was each time we went out and that Austin, who’s never raced this car before, had to adapt on the fly. Every time he went out he was asked to run a different line because of the way the track had been watered or because of the way it was drying out. It makes sense why so many dirt driver have success at higher levels because they have to learn to adapt to changing conditions very quickly. Thanks Kara C.'s Photography for always getting great shots of Austin!

Let’s Go!!!! 💪🏻

What a fun and exciting night! Austin ran his first race on dirt tonight at Millbridge Speedway! It was only his third time sitting his behind in a dirt car! Qualified 5th out of 27 cars in his division. Finished 2nd in his heat race which put us starting p5 in the A-Main! The A was fairly straight forward. A few yellows to start. Once the race got going Austin made a move on a restart to move into 4th and then settled in there for the rest of the race snagging a top 5 with a 4th place finish! Super proud of our driver!

Thanks so much to Mike Hicks and his family for being so accommodating and helpful getting this deal going.

Thank you Clay and “The Longest Yard” for sponsoring us this season and helping make all of this possible!

Looking forward to the next one!

🚨🚨🚨Sponsor Announcement!🚨🚨🚨

We are excited to announce “The Longest Yard” as a primary sponsor for Austin Fambrough’s outlaw kart to be raced at Millbridge Speedway in 2025! We are so grateful to have Clay and The Longest Yard on board with our little race team for this season! The goal is to put this race car in Victory Lane and I think we have the driver and the partnerships lined up to do just that!

Come on out Tuesday, April 15th to see Austin sling some dirt and take on the banks of Millbridge Speedway for the first time! It’s going to be a blast!

Well that went about as well as it possibly could have! We were able to get Austin on track this afternoon for the first time at Millbridge Speedway, also the first time he’s been back in a racecar at all since the end of last season, and Austin impressed! He did a great job listening and applying the information he was given… picked up the line really quickly and ran some very competitive lap times. He absolutely loved the experience and we are all looking forward to watching him race this season!

Still have a couple of announcements coming but we will just have to wait until after the car is wrapped… 🧐
