Husqvarna 562xp came in for spark plug thread repair but the insert would not come out without damaging the cylinder more. Upon tearing it down to swap the piston and cylinder (they come as a kit), I saw that it was a good thing that swapping the cylinder had to happen. The factory piston pin that locates the ring had loosened up and was gouging the cylinder wall/piston. Here's a few progress pics of damage and cleaning it up in preparation for new parts.

Big thanks to Nate Williams (Ground Up Stump Grinding) for letting HRSES get your SP4012 back to business. These machines take a lot of abuse just doing what they're designed to do and as you can see, it took its toll on the engine after 1100 hours! If you need any stumps taken care of, he's the man to help you out.

Hurricane season has arrived and that means falling limbs and trees. Take the time now to have your saw tuned and sharpened.
We just had a tree fall near the shop yesterday and Josh had to break out his saw at 6 am.
Give us a call and be prepared!

Today’s job was a little off the menu for our small business. But we do what we can to help our community.
We specialize in small engine repair but Josh is truly a jack of all trades!
He continues to improve his skill set and increase his knowledge in this field.
His full time job continues to provide him with opportunities for growth and the things he has learned there over the last 14 years have provided a plethora of knowledge that he uses daily in our small business.
Please be advised when reaching out for repairs that I do work full time during the day and operate the business after hours. Please know that I am working as diligently as possible to complete repairs in a reasonable time frame.
I appreciate all the support and business over the last 2 years.
The BEST contact method is via text, and second best is phone (704-232-4739)

This saw was diagnosed by someone else as needing a rebuild. The same shop also did the insert for the spark plug a while before it was "needing rebuilt". You can see that piston and cylinder aren't bad at all and that the spark plug insert was the culprit. I removed that insert, tapped the hole and reinstalled one recessed flush with the cylinder and secured with red thread locker.

Husqvarna K770 rebuild. Notice the broken ring and pieces stuck in the side of the cylinder and the top. There are dents in the piston from the broken ring also. This was rebuilt using an aftermarket cylinder and piston per customer request.

A 372xp rebuild. This saw had been rebuilt with an aftermarket single ring kit. The ring retaining pin didn't have enough of an interference fit and backed out of the piston, gouging into the cylinder and killing the saw. It's being rebuilt with an oem cylinder and piston kit (2 rings) that will bring new life to the saw for a long time.
