Tony Rudy (Director of Aviation and Airport Manager at the Salisbury Regional Airport), Cliff Grunstra, (Executive VP and Chief Commercial Officer at Carload Express), SWED Executive Director David Ryan (substituting due to the government shutdown for David Pierce, Director at Wallops Flight Facility) and John Hickman and Ashley Panagakos (BEACON at Salisbury University) presented on different modes of transportation including air, rail, roads/space, and water, respectively.

We’ve reached an important milestone in our collective effort to establish an Aviation Maintenance Technician school at the Salisbury Regional Airport. Our partner, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) recently received FAA Certification, allowing the school to open in January, 2025. Many thanks to all of our partners including Wicomico County Executive Office, Maryland Department of Commerce, Piedmont Airlines, UMES, and the Tri County Council of the Lower Eastern Shore. HopFlyt is excited to announce that we have landed at our new facility on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore.

Located at the Salisbury Regional Airport, the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Autonomous Innovation Center is a new and purpose built facility designed as a hub to accelerate commercial UAS adoption in this unique geographical environment. Here, HopFlyt will continue development and test of our electric and hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft product line.

We are excited to bring our team to Salisbury to help usher in the next generation of transportation!
