Everything is ready for tomorrow night's Family Fun Night at the First Mayor's House in Salinas. The treats will be tasty, the games are fun, the House is spooky and the crafts are imaginative. Friday and Saturday nights 6-8 p.m. Fun for ALL AGES! Please join us! Proceeds support our Educational Programs.

The First Mayor's House is happy to welcome teachers and students for fall field trips starting Thursday, September 15 through Veteran's Day. Volunteer opportunities include
-Lead House tours and share a glimpse of life in Salinas in the 1870’s
-Work with small groups of elementary students at stations that teach Salinas history, old fashioned tools, outdoor chores, historic games
-Learn about the medicinal garden and its uses
-Share the Harvey/Baker families’ photos, books, artifacts with the public
(Individual trainings are also available, as needed)
All current Covid safety protocols will be followed

~This curriculum works with third through fifth grade history/social studies. Many third graders missed their visit last spring, but fourth grade teachers can easily integrate the materials into the history of California or for fifth grade to the Westward Movement.
We look forward to seeing you all as soon as the TAMC project at the Train Station Plaza is completed and the COVID restrictions are lifted. We are currently creating a LOT of online materials for students and teachers to enjoy this fall.
