Monkey In My Chair

Mokas Coffee & Eatery, Salina, participated in Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by creating a little "Monkey Business" with a delicious drink and displaying our Monkey in My Chair kit. 🎗
$1 from each drink sold was donated back to Love, Chloe in the amount of $1,200! 💛

As important and special as Monkey is in the classroom, he often remains a substantial part of families who've lost a child. Ella's monkey attended her high school graduation in her honor this year. ❤️ Ella passed away from Neuroblastoma in November 2016, less than 10 months after her diagnosis.

Did you know Monkey in My Chair began in Heidi's living room in 2009 as an idea to honor her daughter, Chloe? Chloe loved school and monkeys, so the idea to incorporate the two into one program for other childhood cancer warriors was the perfect fit.
Today, there are monkeys hanging out with their classroom friends across the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and even Japan! How cool is that?!?

We've tried to convince Monkey to get himself together, but he doesn't listen very well! 😅 Instead, we have numerous students who come in throughout the year and help us assemble Monkey kits. 💛 We are so grateful for our volunteers who help us provide this amazing program to families like yours!
