At their core, farmers want to feed people.

Across Oregon, through Farmers Ending Hunger, farmers donate what they grow and raise… cattle, potatoes, onions, wheat, and more. That food is processed, packaged, and distributed through the Oregon Food Bank network so it actually reaches families who need it.

As we celebrate 20 years, that work has delivered more than 40 million pounds of food across our state.

And it matters. Right now, 1 in 6 kids in Oregon is facing food insecurity.

Oregon farmers donate millions of pounds of food to fight hunger Over the last 20 years, farmers across Oregon have donated more than 40 million pounds of food to the Oregon Food Bank and the Oregon Food Bank Network.

In one powerful day, 176,000 pounds of potatoes were harvested, washed, packaged, and delivered to food banks across the Northwest. ❤️🥔

This incredible collaboration, led by OSU Hermiston Agricultural Research and Extension Center ’s Ken Frost, Stahl Farms, and partners across Umatilla County, shows what is possible when farmers unite to fight hunger.

Oregon Food Bank

This Sunday, October 12th is National Farmer's Day! Our friends at Burgerville will donate $1 to Farmers Ending Hunger for every NW Cheeseburger sold that day. Plus, our friends at Country Natural Beef will match Burgerville's donation. Eating delicious cheeseburgers to end hunger sounds like a great idea to us! Please spread the word!

We had a great time at the “Farm to Square” event that featured the bounty of Umatilla County. Thanks to Explore Umatilla County, James Beard Public Market, Portland Metro Chamber, and City of Portland, OR.

Hunger in Oregon is on the rise. Today, 1 in 8 people experience food insecurity including 1 in 6 children. Recently we visited some of our farms with the Oregon Food Bank to see where our food comes from. Thank you to Threemile Canyon Farms, River Point Farms, and Orchard View Cherries for their generous donations of potatoes, onions, ground beef and cherries to feed hungry Oregonians. We love our farmers! ❤️
