National Guard called in to assist with ‘unprecedented’ snow removal in Brockton “This was unprecedented, and it continues to be a major issue,” said Mayor Moises Rodrigues.
The National Guard helped dig out at least 113 hydrants Thursday afternoon. They’ll be back in Brockton Friday.
Schools were canceled for a full week here because of the blizzard. The mayor tells me the goal is to get students back to school Monday.
Attleboro city leaders say they’re trying their best to clear the more than 200 miles of roadway after 32 inches of snow fell Monday. Their priority is main roads right now and they understand the frustration.
