As National Police Week is coming to an end, today we pause to reflect on National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Today, we honor and remember every law enforcement officer who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community.

On Wednesday night, 363 names were read aloud during the Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C.

363 officers.
363 stories.
363 families forever changed.

As of today, the Officer Down Memorial Page reports 41 line-of-duty deaths in 2026.

Please join us in taking a moment to pray for and remember every family whose officer never made it home.🇺🇸💙

The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office would like to wish Emma Kostyun much luck and success as she pursues a career in law enforcement. Emma recently completed her internship with us and will graduate with a Master of Arts in Justice Studies from the University of New Hampshire. Emma's goal was to increase her knowledge in what makes a professional law enforcement agency successful, as well as the role of the Sheriff's Office as it pertains to working alongside local, state and federal partners.

During her internship Emma spent many hours alongside the men and women of each division within the Sheriff's Office and showed an enthusiastic, willingness to learn. We wish nothing but the best for Emma!
