Bringing teens to awareness of global issues & the capability they possess to make a positive impact! These are overnight camps for high school students.
Established in 2011, we are in our development stage with goal to launch in 2013. Currently recruiting teens to serve on our "Youth Board of Directors" and as "Teen Masterminds". Participants eligible for most high school community service hours. *Official Certifying Organization for President's Volunteer Service Award Program**

Eating flowers, watching a movie, enjoying friends both old and new! Food mostly grown in the greenhouse we helped build last spring! Fresh air, fresh food! Life is good! Thanks DNTUlimit!

Hope for Creativity is a nonprofit organization based in Swampscott, MA. Founded by Moira Landry at age 12 (now off to college this fall!) this organization brings hope to homeless children by providing art supplies: and a way for kids to tap into their creativity and have something to call their own. We love this organization and hope you will check them out and support them too!

This short film was created by one of Spark 540°'s young people. We hope you'll watch, keeping in mind the following:
Spark 540° understands that our world has a lot of problems. We also believe that each of us has the ability to ignite change, and improve lives. We trust Margaret Mead when she said "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, for indeed it is the only thing that ever has".
Our teens from the USA work WITH not FOR their peers in Senegal. We believe that all we need to do in Africa is make friends out of strangers, and encourage them to be the change makers in their own communities. There are 2 groups of Spark 540° teens; one in the USA and the other in Senegal. TOGETHER, it's perfect.

Spark is a work in progress. Always learning, growing, changing, adapting....just like we all do in our own lives.
We face challenges and obstacles, learn to deal with difficult people, make new friends, share experiences and adventures....this all happens here!
Right now, we've hit the "pause" button while we evaluate and reinvent our way of reaching teens, being effective and making an impact.
It's all good stuff, and we can't wait to share our changes with you!
