Over the Weekend several of our members were able to attend the 90th VAVRS Convention at Hotel Madison in Harrisonburg, VA. While attending the awards ceremony one of our very own life members was Inducted in to the Virginia Life Saving and Rescue Hall of Fame. Rob Logan began his EMS career with Salem Rescue in 1971, and became a Life Member in 1986. At the beginning of Rob's career with Salem Rescue he was encouraged by Dr. Garvin to attend the very first Paramedic Program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Later in Rob's EMS career he went on to become the first paid staff member of the VAVRS, he then went on to become the Executive director for the Western Virginia EMS Council. Rob has helped with many advancements in EMS throughout his career. We would like to thank Rob for all his contributions to EMS and making so much possible.
