CC Stained Glass

Creativity grows when students begin making each project their own. These decorative stained glass birdhouses started from the same base design, but each student chose different embellishments and details to personalize their piece.

One added climbing vines with roses and leaves for a whimsical garden feel, while the other kept a simpler floral design with clean accents and a bright bird detail. It’s always exciting to watch confidence build as students move beyond the pattern and begin adding their own artistic voice to the work.

New stained glass butterfly workshops will be announced later this week.

One workshop is designed for beginners with no prior stained glass experience. A second workshop will be offered for those looking to continue building their skills while incorporating wire elements into their finished suncatchers.

Erica Johnson ‘s Craven. It was a toss up between a raven and a crow so Craven it became. I’m sure the crows will welcome this member to their murder.

So many projects are being completed this week.

Give a shout out to Shannon Lyn for her lighthouses! Exceptional job using direction of the glass. Recreating the lighthouse from her hometown, makes these even more special.

I like to take picture of the front and back of projects to see the drama of the glass.

Always fun to exhibit in a local show and advertise for stained glass classes. Even better when one of my members see themselves in my advertising. Loved seeing you today Phyllis!

Beep beep is completed and looking amazing. Glynnis draws her own patterns. Amazing to watch the transformation from sketch to finished project.

Making changes and glass choices is part of the learning process. Very exciting to see Traci choose bold colors and tweak the pattern to suit her vision. Not all pieces need to be hung as this will be placed on a stand.
