Our team wants to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, grandmothers, and other maternal figures out there.

From the late nights of the newborn stage to the late nights waiting up for teens, we owe moms a debt of gratitude — and sleep!

So whether you’re a mother yourself, you’re celebrating your mom, honoring your partner, or recognizing another maternal figure in your life, we hope this day is full of appreciation.

It’s time for another energy-saving idea–this one is sure to be a “fan” favorite!

❄️Today’s Cool Tip ❄️ Turn a room’s ceiling fans on in addition to your air conditioning. Doing so will allow you to set your A/C unit at a slightly higher temperature and feel just as cool (though the temperature won’t actually change). On the flip side, when you leave a room, be sure to turn your fan off to avoid an unnecessary drain on electricity ⚡

We’re back today with another home energy tip: If you’re looking to keep your energy costs ⬇️ as temps ⬆️, below is a window into how to do just that.

❄️Today’s Cool Tip ❄️Uncovered windows facing south or west can heat your house up, making your A/C work harder to keep your home cool. Since windows in these directions absorb most of the sun’s heat, it’s a good idea to invest in good blinds or window coverings and keep these windows covered during the day.

Have another energy-saving tip? We’d love to hear – drop it in the comments below.

Temps are rising out there —and unfortunately, so are many Americans’ energy bills 🔥 The good news is there are steps you can take to reduce your home’s energy costs in these warmer months.

To help you out, we’ll be sharing a few such steps, starting with some advice on air conditioning best practices:

❄️Today’s Cool Tip ❄️ In addition to scheduling regular maintenance, regularly vacuum air intake vents and ensure objects aren’t blocking vents. Interestingly enough, you’ll also want to keep lamps and TV sets away from your thermostat, as these can emit heat and make your A/C unit think the room is hotter than it is.

Do you have a cool tip for these warm weather months? Add it in the comments below, and share this post to spread this tip to your network.
