In this past Sunday's Gospel, and throughout this month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are invited to gaze upon the Heart of Christ and discover His love for us.
His Heart is filled with mercy, compassion, and tenderness toward His people. He sees our burdens, knows our struggles, and never grows weary of calling us back to Himself.
Like the Good Shepherd, He desires to lead us beside still waters and restore our souls. Even in seasons of uncertainty, hardship, or weariness, His Heart remains a place of refuge and peace.
How comforting it is to know that we are loved by a Savior who seeks us, cares for us, and walks with us through every trial.
Today, let us entrust our worries, our families, our communities, and our work to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Happy Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
The Immaculate Heart of Mary is a beautiful image of complete trust in God.
Though fully human like us, Mary responded to every joy, sorrow, uncertainty, and challenge with faith, humility, and openness to God's grace. Her heart was entirely receptive to the Lord's will, making her the perfect model of discipleship.
In a world filled with anxiety, distractions, and competing priorities, Mary teaches us what it means to surrender ourselves to God and trust that His plans are greater than our own.
Like fertile soil receiving seed, her heart welcomed the Word of God and bore abundant fruit for the salvation of the world.
Today, let us ask Our Lady to help us grow in faith, trust, and love for her Son.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

Happy Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!
Today we celebrate the Heart of Christ, a heart that burns with love for every person.
How incredible it is that our God chose to take on human flesh and experience the full range of human life: joy and sorrow, friendship and betrayal, celebration and suffering.
There is no burden we carry, no grief we endure, and no longing we feel that is unknown to Him.
The Sacred Heart reminds us that God's love is not distant or abstract. It is personal, compassionate, and always present, drawing us back to Himself.
Whether we are rejoicing in a season of abundance or carrying the weight of hardship, we can always find refuge in the Heart of Jesus.
Today, may we entrust our families, our communities, our work, and our worries to the One whose Heart never ceases to love us.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us and make our hearts more like Yours.

Looking for a simple way to support pollinators at home?
In honor of National Pollinators Month, we're sharing practical ways to help bees, butterflies, and other beneficial creatures thrive right in your own backyard.
One easy project is installing a bee house! These small shelters provide nesting sites and protection for native solitary bees, helping them stay close to the flowers, gardens, and crops they pollinate.
Whether made from wood, recycled materials, or purchased ready-made, bee houses are an accessible way to encourage pollinator activity and support the health of local ecosystems.
Small actions can make a big difference. By creating habitat for pollinators, we're helping care for the creatures that play an essential role in producing the fruits, vegetables, and flowers we enjoy every day.
It's a simple way to practice stewardship and care for God's creation, one bee at a time.
Do you have a bee house, pollinator garden, or other pollinator-friendly feature in your yard? Share a photo or tell us about it below!

Happy National Corn on the Cob Day!
Few foods say "summer" quite like sweet corn shared around a family table, picnic, or community gathering.
Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of corn and for the farmers, farm families, and agricultural workers whose dedication helps bring this seasonal favorite from the field to our plates.
As we enjoy the fruits of the harvest, may we remember the hands that cultivate the land and the Creator who provides every good gift.
What's your favorite way to enjoy corn on the cob...classic butter and salt, grilled, or something unique? Tell us in the comments!

There is encouraging news coming from rural America. Recent reporting highlights a renewed interest in the Catholic faith across the United States, including in many rural communities.
While much attention has focused on young adults returning to the Church, rural parishes are also experiencing signs of new life and engagement.
This comes as no surprise to many who live in rural communities. Strong relationships, a sense of belonging, a connection to the land, and vibrant parish life continue to make rural America a place where faith can take deep root.
At Catholic Rural Life, we see every day the importance of supporting rural leaders, clergy, families, and lay faithful who are working to strengthen their communities and pass the faith on to future generations.
Through retreats, workshops, leadership development, and formation opportunities, we are committed to helping rural communities flourish in faith and purpose.
We're grateful to see greater attention being given to the role of faith in rural America—and we're excited about what God is doing in rural communities across the country.

Last week, our Program Managers Emily and Karl had the opportunity to participate in a few days of the Rural Immersion Program at Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
This unique program brings together students, ministry leaders, and rural advocates to explore the realities, challenges, and opportunities of rural life through prayer, reflection, dialogue, and hands-on learning experiences.
As part of the program, Emily presented on Ecological Conversion and the call to care for creation, highlighting how our relationship with Christ should shape the way we engage with the land, our communities, and one another.
We were especially grateful to connect with students from Mexican American Catholic College (MACC), one of our valued partners, and to learn alongside others who are passionate about strengthening rural ministry, leadership, and faith communities.
Programs like these remind us that the future of rural America depends on forming leaders who understand the unique gifts and needs of rural communities and are committed to helping them flourish.
Thank you to Saint John's University for hosting this meaningful experience and to all who participated in the conversation.

These early summer days after Pentecost invite us to reflect on one of God's most humble and extraordinary gifts: the Eucharist.
As wheat ripens in the fields and farmers look ahead to the harvest, we are reminded that Christ chose the simple gifts of bread and wine to remain with His people until the end of time.
What appears to be ordinary food becomes something infinitely greater: the true Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, given for the life of the world.
For those who live close to the land, this mystery is especially striking. The grain that grows from the earth becomes the matter through which God feeds us with His very life.
May we never take for granted the love of Christ, who desires to be so close to us that He gives Himself as food for our journey to Heaven.
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, deepen our love for You.

Happy Solemnity of Corpus Christi! Today we celebrate the Eucharist, the Source and Summit of the Christian life and the greatest gift Christ left to His Church.
Through the fruits of the earth and the work of human hands, simple bread and wine are transformed into something far greater: the true Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
Though they retain the appearance of grain and drink, their substance is no longer ordinary food. The Eucharist is a living Person, the Lord Himself, given for the life of the world.
For those who live close to the land, Corpus Christi is a powerful reminder that God works through the ordinary things of creation to communicate extraordinary grace. The wheat harvested from the field and the grapes gathered from the vine become the means by which Christ comes to dwell among us.
What profound humility and love: the Creator of the universe desires to be as close to us as food and drink.
Today, may we renew our gratitude for the gift of the Eucharist and never take for granted the One who continually gives Himself to us.
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, we adore You.
