If you feel that you missed trash pickup the past 2 weeks, you have. We put a new route on to better service our customers & to cut the work load on our employees. Please put trash out the night before pickup day & you won’t miss us!

This could be interesting. There should be plenty of money in the Landfill fund to cover the $19.9 million. I hope they will take another look. Is the next increase in January 2027 really necessary? We had a Landfill Task Force that was dismantled in Dec 2025. We, as citizens, have to live with their recommendation that the entire Council voted for. Half the Council is gone, and the Director of Public Works will soon be gone. The Landfill is on its third Superintendent. This would be a great time for our new Council to put INTEGRITY FIRST! Citizens need to be able to TRUST our local government for our community to thrive. No better time than the present. The citizens of Saint Joseph shouldn’t have to keep paying for past leadership's incompetence!

I wonder if the Landfill scandal will be looked at now. I do believe the sewer treatment plant falls under Public Works.

Abe was a big part of trying to increase the landfill rate to $125 a ton. Hope they will replace him with someone who will actually reside in Saint Joseph.
