β˜€οΈ HOT DAYS. HIGH FIRE RISK. πŸ”₯

As temperatures rise across Washington County, so does the risk of wildfire.

Even without a Red Flag Warning, hot weather and dry vegetation can create conditions where a single spark can quickly become a wildfire.

Help reduce the risk by taking a few simple precautions:

πŸš— Avoid parking on dry grass
πŸ”— Secure trailer chains
🚬 Properly dispose of smoking materials
πŸ”₯ Follow campfire restrictions
πŸ•οΈ Never leave a fire unattended

Remember: One spark. One careless moment. One wildfire.

Enjoy the outdoors responsibly and help protect our communities, public lands, and first responders.

READY. SET. GO.

Wildfires can spread quickly, leaving little time to react. The best time to prepare is before smoke is visible.

Washington County Emergency Services encourages every resident to follow three simple steps:

🟑 SET – Stay alert and be prepared to leave
πŸ”΄ GO – Leave early when directed

Start today:

βœ” Register for emergency alerts at 911register.com
βœ” Know your evacuation zone at protect.genasys.com
βœ” Build a Go Kit
βœ” Create a family evacuation plan

Being prepared today can make all the difference tomorrow.

🚨 Community Update Following the Fire at Bella Vista Apartments🚨

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted. We recognize that many families are facing difficult circumstances as they work through the immediate aftermath of this event.

At this time, the American Red Cross is actively working to secure temporary housing and support services for displaced residents. Community members wishing to help are encouraged to hold off on taking donations to the Red Cross Offices until official needs have been identified.

Please stay tuned to updates from the American Red Cross and local emergency management agencies for information on future donation opportunities and volunteer needs.

The most helpful thing you can do right now is:
βœ” Allow emergency responders and relief organizations to do their work
βœ” Follow official information sources for updates
βœ” Check on neighbors, friends, and family who may be affected

We appreciate the community’s support and compassion during this time.
