St. George has a neighborhood for every type of person — which one are you?
Whether you want a resort lifestyle with a crystal lagoon in your backyard, a quiet street where your kids can ride bikes until dark, a brand new build with mountain views, or a charming older neighborhood close to everything downtown — it’s all here.
That’s honestly one of my favorite things about this area. You can have two families move to St. George at the same time and end up in completely different neighborhoods that fit their lives perfectly. No two are the same.
Desert Color if you want that resort feel. Little Valley if you want space and newer builds. Santa Clara and Ivins if you want that small town charm with red rock views. Washington Fields if you want room to breathe and a quieter pace. There really is something for everyone out here.
Not sure which one is the right fit for your family? That’s exactly why I built my free neighborhood quiz. Answer a few quick questions about your lifestyle and I’ll match you to the best St. George neighborhood for you.

I just love St. George and the life I have here — can’t imagine a better place to raise my family. 🧡
Honestly I don’t take it for granted for a single day. My kids are growing up with red rocks in their backyard, Zion 45 minutes away, and neighbors that actually feel like family. That’s just a normal Tuesday around here.
The people here are genuinely some of the best I’ve ever been around. There’s a sense of community that you just don’t find in a lot of places anymore. Good schools, safe neighborhoods, and enough to do that you never feel like you’re missing out on anything.
Sand Hollow, Snow Canyon, world class golf, great restaurants — we really do have it all out here. And I get to call it home. Doesn’t get much better than that.
If you’re thinking about making a move to or in southern Utah, I’d love to help you find the right spot for your family the same way I found mine.

St. George has four main areas and they all feel completely different. Picking the wrong one can honestly change your whole experience out here.
Desert Color is the newest and most resort style community in town. Lagoon, pools, entertainment, restaurants all built in. If you want that modern walkable lifestyle where everything is right there, this is your spot.
Washington and the Crimson Cliffs area is where a lot of families end up. Newer construction, good schools, and growing fast. It’s a little more suburban but you’re close to everything and there’s a reason it’s one of the most popular areas for people moving in.
Ivins is the quiet side of town. More spread out, more privacy, and you’re sitting right next to Snow Canyon State Park. If you want space and views without the neighborhood feel, Ivins is hard to beat.
Then you’ve got St. George proper. Downtown, Dixie Drive, the Bluff Street corridor. This is where you get the older established neighborhoods, walkability to restaurants and shops, and more of that classic small town feel that started it all.
They’re all St. George but they’re all completely different lifestyles. The key is figuring out which one fits your family before you start looking at homes.

The right home is only half of it. Whether you’re moving to St. George or just moving across town, the part that sticks with you is how close it puts you to days like this.
This is the stuff that doesn’t show up when families are comparing houses and school districts online. You can find a good home almost anywhere, but having Zion this close is the kind of thing that quietly changes how you spend your weekends.
A lot of the people I work with don’t realize how much is within reach here until they see it for themselves. That’s why I put together a free St. George family guide covering the neighborhoods, the trails, and the places worth knowing about.

St. George just put slides on the parking garage at City Hall — and I think it adds a really fun element to downtown.
Two stainless steel slides, one 74 feet long and one 62 feet, dropping all the way from the fourth and third floor down to street level right next to City Hall. They open late July and I’m for sure going to have to give them a try — but I might wait until it’s not so hot before I do.
Downtown St. George has been investing in making the area more fun, more family friendly, and more of a place people actually want to be — not just a place you pass through. This is a perfect example of that. The city used RAP tax dollars — money voted on by residents specifically for recreation, arts and parks — to make it happen.
Love it or hate it, you have to admit it’s a conversation starter. And if it gets more families spending time downtown, I’m all for it.
What do you think — would you ride it?
St. George doesn’t get enough credit — and Zion is just the beginning.
I grew up around this and I still catch myself staring at the scenery on my morning drive like it’s the first time. Zion National Park is 45 minutes from your front door — but honestly that’s just the headline. Snow Canyon, Sand Hollow Reservoir, Quail Creek, Gunlock — there is no shortage of places to explore out here.
And it’s not just the landscape. The people here are genuinely some of the best you’ll ever meet. Neighbors actually know each other. Kids play outside. People wave when you drive by. It has that small town feel but with every restaurant, store, and amenity you actually need.
Pickleball leagues, hiking clubs, farmers markets, world class golf — there is always something going on and always good people to do it with.
If you’re thinking about making a move to or in southern Utah, I’d love to help you find the right neighborhood for your family.

People always ask me what’s so special about St. George and honestly it’s hard to explain. It’s not one big thing. It’s waking up to red rocks every morning. It’s your kids riding bikes in December. It’s being 30 minutes from a national park and 10 minutes from Costco. It just kind of gets you. Nobody moves here planning to stay forever and then somehow everybody does.
