A local customer needed plasma treatment of Polypropylene Plugs and Caps prior to pad printing. Using Festo actuators, Mitsubishi motors, and Mitsubishi drives, we came up with a completely custom gantry. Each axis has 100mm stroke. The speed in the video is roughly 10% of how fast it can go. We tested this same pattern at roughly a 200ms cycle time. #automation #plastics

Not a person will touch these assemblies. Parts are fed directly from Injection molding machines into our assembly system, and finally to a fully automated AutoBag unit. The assembly system is equipped with multiple mechanical measurements and a 3-camera vision system to ensure what is in the bag are “good” assemblies.
