A hearty THANK YOU to all who gave me great advice on what to tell the FCC about incentivizing local broadcasting. I filed a very simple response, no legalese, just based on my own experience as a broadcaster, telling them how stations can reinvent their local programming in these modern times.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Broadcasters continue to say they don't want to provide local productions. Hmnn...

Broadcasting peeps, I have a question for you about costs of setting up TV and radio studios and field production back in my day v now.
Good TV studio cameras used to cost $150,000. I'm betting you could set up an entire studio for that today.
The FCC is asking interesting questions about local broadcast news production. Big broadcasters say they can't afford to do local production. Let's prove them wrong, what do you say?
