🚨FOSTER NEEDED FOR MIRANDA’S SURVIVOR🚨

The dogs that are being picked up from Miranda’s have endured far more than any of us could even begin to comprehend. Unfortunately, most of them are being picked up and returned to the shelters that they came from, where they were - and continue to be - at risk.

These dogs should be treated with extra care considering what humans have put them through. Humans placed them in that hell hole. And humans need to be responsible for ensuring that they land somewhere safe.

We would love to be able to pull at least one of these dogs into our rescue, give them a soft place to land and decompress, and screen their potential adopters appropriately to ensure that they never go through something like this again.

Nala is a DOG FRIENDLY beautiful little pit mix that loves everyone she meets. She has lived through the hell that is Miranda‘s and somehow is filled with nothing but love. She is six years old and weighs 50 pounds. She is affectionate and sweet and wants nothing more than to be around people.

If you have felt helpless and hopeless watching these stories, this is a way that you can proactively take part in giving back to the survivors of Miranda’s. You can be part of the healing. You can be part of setting things right, even if just for this one dog.

So many rescues were responsible for sending dogs to that monster. As a rescue community, we need to work together to help the ones that are coming out of there. The ones that made it out. And the ones that are still making their way out. They shouldn’t have to spend a single day in a shelter. My hope is that the rescues who sent him dogs will be stepping up to help as well. They have a chance to do the right thing. And if they want to, they will.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO FOSTER:
⭐️You MUST be located in the Sacramento area. (Roseville , Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Midtown, West Sac, etc.)This is a non-negotiable. The reason for this is so that:

A) We can perform an “in person” yard check to ensure your yard is secure.

B ) You can get your foster dog to necessary vet appointments.

C ) You can meet with any potential adopters in our area.

D ) We can have our trainer assist with introductions with your existing pets.

⭐️⭐️We will as usual provide all necessary fostering supplies and add you to our foster support page.
-Supplies include crate, bed, toys, treats, leash, collar, and anything else you might need.
-We cover 100% of veterinary costs.

-We also provide an online foster orientation prior to you receiving your dog so that any questions or concerns are addressed.

-We will add you to a Facebook foster support page where you will have access to other fosters who can answer questions and give general support on a daily basis.

Around 40 pounds.

WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?
If I do say so myself, I'm pretty handsome. I'm about 20 inches tall and 32 inches long with beautiful brindle coloring, soulful brown eyes, and an adorable white patch on my chest. Oh, and don’t get me started on my adorable smile! The best! 😁

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT?
Pretty much everything! My foster mom feeds me Blue Buffalo kibble with pumpkin, rice, or sweet potato to help keep my tummy happy and healthy.😊

WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE?
I am a giant cuddle bug trapped inside a sturdy little bully body. My favorite thing in the world is being close to my people. I love laying next to you, staring into your eyes, getting belly rubs, and falling asleep while being petted. I get very excited when it's time for a walk and may do a few happy circles before sitting patiently for my leash. I enjoy naps on my dog bed, in my crate, or stretched out in a sunny spot.

DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY:
My perfect day starts with breakfast and a nice long walk. Then it's time for a nap, some belly rubs, and hanging out with my humans. After lunch, I'd love another walk, some time outside soaking up the sun, and maybe a chew bone. I'd finish the day with dinner, an evening stroll, and lots of cuddles before bed.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY?
My bone! 🦴

DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS?
I know sit, stay, and leave it. I'm currently learning how to lay down. 😁

WHAT SCARES YOU?
I'm still learning about the world, but I can be a little unsure in new situations. Having my people nearby helps me feel safe and confident.

HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN?
Yes! I love children and enjoy being around people of all ages. 👶

DO YOU LIKE CATS?
I'm not sure yet. I haven't had the opportunity to meet any cats.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS?
I get very excited when I meet other dogs and usually want to play right away. Sometimes I bark when they don't want to play with me, but I'm learning better manners and how to stay calm when meeting new friends. Please set me up for success with slow introductions to other dogs. 🐶

IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Wherever my people are. Whether we're on a walk, watching TV, or just hanging out at home, being with my family is my favorite place to be.

HOW IS YOUR HEALTH?
My health is great! I do have allergies and receive a monthly allergy shot to help keep me comfortable and itch-free. Other than that, I'm a happy, healthy guy.😊

WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION?
I live with my foster mom and foster auntie. My foster mom is definitely my favorite person, but I love my foster auntie too.

WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?
I relax either in my crate or on my dog bed, depending on how long I'll be alone. Since I spend most of my day snoozing, I'm perfectly happy as long as I have a comfy place to nap.😴

WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?
I sleep in my crate at night. I'd love to sleep in bed with my humans, but I'm happy as long as I'm in the same room as my people.

DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?
Absolutely! Walks are one of my favorite activities. I can be a strong puller, so I'm continuing to work on my leash manners.🐕‍🦺

DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
I'm still learning a few things. I can get excited on walks and pull on the leash. I also get very excited around other dogs and sometimes bark when they don't want to play. And if you leave the couch or bed unattended, I may be tempted to see if there's room for me too. Luckily, I'm smart and eager to learn. 🧑‍🎓

ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED?
Yes! I am fully house trained and do a great job going potty outside. 😇

DO YOU LIKE WATER?
Baths are not my favorite thing. My foster mom has to keep a close eye on me because I'd rather make a quick escape. I haven't had the chance to try swimming in a pool or lake yet, so I'm not sure how I feel about those.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?
I love that my foster family works from home and spends lots of time with me. We go on several walks every day, they play with me, cuddle me, and make me feel loved. I just want to be wherever they are.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER?
Since NorCal Bully Breed Rescue pulled me out of the shelter, I have learned what it feels like to be loved, cared for, and part of a family. Now I'm ready to find my forever home and spend the rest of my life loving my people as much as they'll love me. Does that sound like you? Let’s do this!💕

My perfect day starts with breakfast, followed by some quality time with my humans. Then I'd love a game of fetch or a nice walk around the neighborhood. Throughout the day, I'll happily accept pets, belly rubs, compliments, and snacks (not necessarily in that order). After dinner, I'd love to relax near my humans before settling in for a good night's sleep.💕

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY?
Anything I can fetch! Balls are my favorite!🎾

DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS?
I know how to expertly retrieve a ball and bring it back for another throw. I'm also pretty talented at getting people to stop what they're doing and pet me. Pro-level on that one.

WHAT SCARES YOU?
So far, we haven't found much that scares me. I tend to be a confident, happy-go-lucky girl who takes life's adventures in stride.

HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN?
I enjoy people of all ages, especially those who are kind and respectful. One thing to know about me is that when I'm playing fetch, I can get pretty focused on the game and may not always notice that a small child is nearby. Because of that, I would do best with children who understand dog boundaries and can give me a little space when I'm in full fetch mode.

DO YOU LIKE CATS?
No cats for me, please. I'd be happiest in a cat-free home.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS?
I currently coexist well with another foster dog, but if I'm being honest, people are my favorite. I don't need a canine companion and would be perfectly happy being the center of your world. That said, I can peacefully share my home with another respectful dog. 🐶

IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Right next to my humans—whether that's on the couch, in the backyard playing fetch, or out for a walk together.

HOW IS YOUR HEALTH?
When I arrived at the rescue, I had some significant skin issues that needed attention. Thanks to excellent veterinary care, a few prescriptions, and lots of love, I am doing very well. My skin condition, although chronic, has improved dramatically, and I feel better every day. I will likely need to be on long-term medications for my autoimmune skin condition and an eye issue as well. But as long as I’ve got the meds on board, I am comfortable and can live a full, comfortable, fabulous life!

WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION?
I live with my foster mom and foster dad, and I love them equally. Honestly, anyone who gives me attention instantly becomes my favorite person. Why choose just one? 😝

WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?
I spend my time relaxing in my pen and waiting patiently for my people to come home.

WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?
I love having a comfortable place to curl up and get a good night's rest in a pen near my humans.😴

DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?
Yes! I walk very nicely on a leash and enjoy exploring the neighborhood with my people. 🦮

DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
My biggest "issue" might be that I'll happily remind you when it's time for attention. Otherwise, I'm a pretty easy-going girl.

Water is great for drinking, and I always make sure to stay hydrated. I tolerate a bath well but I’d rather not. 🛁

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?
They give me everything a dog could want—good food, lots of love, walks, and plenty of attention. Most importantly, they helped me heal and showed me how wonderful life can be. 🥰
