The fun and creativity continued over the last two weeks. First we explored outer space and then the safari!

Space week was out of this world. We talked about the sun, the eight planets, our moon, constellations, and much more. 🔭🪐🌎

During safari week we learned about different animals that call the safari home. The younger kids had a lot of fun pretending the playground was a safari while they were animals and “zoologists”.🦓🐅🦒

Red, white and fun! 🎆

Our 4th of July themed week was an absolute blast! From our red, white and blue projects, to Patriotic songs, to learning about our flag it was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday! 🇺🇸

We hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July with friends and family.

Dino week was prehistoric perfection! We roared with excitement as we explored the fascinating world of dinosaurs. 🦕 🦖

Due to the powerful nor’easter that is projected to impact Maine, LifeSkills will be closed on Thursday April 4, and will reopen Friday April 5. - stay safe and see everyone on Friday!

While every child development center is different, there are some common features all good ones have: child-friendly classrooms with appropriately sized furniture, indoor and outdoor activity areas, and both child and adult restrooms.

Our playground is an important tool in the development of young children. Aside from helping them to develop physically, it also allows children to actively interact with each other to improve their social skills and their ability to work with their peers.

A true saying by Sherrie Campbell: “Seven things every child needs to hear: I love you, I’m proud of you, I’m sorry, I forgive you, I’m listening. This is your responsibility. You have what it takes to succeed.”

Because a child development center is a social environment, albeit a structured one, children learn how to handle a variety of situations in an acceptable manner.
