Rutherford Stage is a nonprofit community theater providing opportunities for all ages to experience high quality performance.
Executive Director Laura Link and co-Artistic Director Michael McKinney would love to see you on our stage or in our audience! The Rutherford County Arts Council is a non-profit, community-based arts organization serving Rutherford County, NC and the surrounding region. The RCAC has established programs and activities involving all major categories of fine arts and performing arts in its 40 year history while maintaining a particular emphasis on work in the dramatic arts and work with children.

Registration is open for our 2026 Summer Drama Camp from now until May 31. Any students ages 5-18 are welcome to join us for this two-week camp. This is a great opportunity for young actors, and no experience is required! We hope to see you there!

We rarely share items found in our facility after a performance, but we do not often find such precious items.
The necklace pictured was found in the Foundation auditorium following the performances of Alice in Wonderland March 26th-28th.

We were thrilled with the actors who came to our audition for You Can’t Take It With You last Monday. What a talented group!
If you missed the audition and you would still like to be considered for a role, you are in luck! We will hold a second audition next Monday, March 9 at 6:30 PM at the Foundation Performing Arts Center. WE ESPECIALLY NEED MORE MEN (age 16 and up).
If you auditioned this past Monday, you should also come back on the 9th.

Rutherford Stage has announced the leading actors for their upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland,” a musical play Diane McEnnerney, based on the novel by Lewis Carroll.
Leading the cast of over 130 local actors of all ages will be Tessa Gaddy as “Middle” Alice, Layla Langley as “Little” Alice, and Lucy Malan as “Big” Alice.

“Alice in Wonderland” will be presented on Friday, March 27 at 7pm and on Saturday, March 28 at 3pm at The Foundation Performing Arts Center on the campus of Isothermal Community College. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors, plus applicable taxes and fees. Tickets are available at the Foundation Box Office, 828-286-9990, at foundationshows.org, or at the door.
