Rescue 5 responds to all emergencies in the borough of Rutherford and neighboring towns when needed.

Rutherford Fire Companies around 8:08 am were dispatched to a large fuel leak on Rt.3 West. Companies worked for a hour and half to mitigate the leak. County Hazmat also responded and once it was determined the scene was safe companies returned to service.

Members trained on equipment familiarization with the newer members. Our boat operators took advantage of the weather to operate the boat.

Switched into the old rescue while the new rescue goes back to the dealer for some up-fitting. Happy to have the rig around during this time.
