A tented wedding doesn’t start on the wedding day.
48 hours before guests arrived, the transformation began.

Months of site visits, floor plans, rental orders, production schedules, vendor coordination, and countless decisions all led to this moment.

This is the part of wedding planning most guests never see, but it’s what allows couples to be fully present and enjoy every moment of their celebration.

A look behind the scenes of L & B’s wedding weekend. 🤍

A garden dinner designed for conversation, connection, and a little bit of magic.

Loved collaborating with .j._mcgrath_design to bring this garden-inspired evening to life for his client. Thoughtful details, beautiful florals, and the kind of atmosphere that invites guests to linger a little longer. 🤍

What a special experience it was to be part of the Ephemeral Workshop hosted by .j._mcgrath_design collaborating alongside such talented designers and having the opportunity to connect with and speak to the students.

Thank you, TJ, for trusting me with the tablescape design. This concept had been sitting with us for over a year. An idea he first shared about creating layered arches and a criss-cross installation over the table. When the opportunity came to design something truly immersive for the attendees, we knew this was the moment to bring it to life.

Beyond the installation, it was just as important to tell the full story through the tabletop, how every detail contributes to the overall experience. From the linens to the place settings, the candlelight, to the florals, and ghe food…each element working together with intention.

As a planner, I often get to experience the end result from the guest perspective. As a florist, that’s not always the case. Creating this experience allowed the attendees to do both. To design, build, and then return, dressed for the evening, to sit at the table they spent the day creating.
To see them fully immersed in what they brought to life…sharing a meal, connecting, and celebrating…was incredibly meaningful.

A beautiful night filled with intention, collaboration, and connection 🤍

Still thinking about this one, one week later 🤍

J & J | There’s something special about planning alongside a couple so fully. Every detail considered, every moment intentional, and a day that flowed with ease from beginning to end.

So grateful to have been part of it. Such a beautiful celebration 🤍

So much of a design and planning comes down to collaboration.

When the planner and florist are in sync from the start, every detail feels considered. From how the table sits within the space to how each arrangement interacts with its surroundings. It’s not just about what’s beautiful on its own, but how everything works together to create a cohesive experience.

Designing for the setting will always matter. Letting the environment lead, and building around it with intention.

Tomorrow, I’ll be speaking to the students at .j._mcgrath_design and Ephemeral Workshop about this exact approach, and bringing it to life through the tablescape they’ll design alongside their floral installations.

Ending the day with a dinner set within their own work… truly the best way to experience it all come together.
