The Bluebird rests in a quiet corner of The Ida Grey where warm blues soften the light and invite you in. Named for the bluebird, a gentle symbol of hope and happiness, this room offers the perfect place to rest and recharge.

The Wren
Every room at The Ida Grey is named for a bird native to Louisiana. This room, inspired by the wren, is thoughtfully designed in warm browns and soft whites — a subtle nod to the delicate beauty and quiet charm of this little songbird.

Groundhog aside, spring is coming!

It was a great privilege to host the Kennedy family and for this lovely autumn dinner.

As women in agriculture, the Kennedy sisters represent a growing presence of female leadership in farming. Their role highlights the evolving face of Louisiana agriculture, where tradition and innovation meet, and where family farms remain vital despite modern challenges. Through perseverance and shared responsibility, the Kennedy family’s rice operation stands as a testament to the enduring importance of family, land, and agricultural heritage in Louisiana.
