Nothing brings people together quite like a Louisiana Crawfish Boil. 🦞

We enjoyed hosting Hunt Guillot & Associates at The Big House where employees and their families gathered for an evening full of great food, laughter, and time well spent together.

It’s always so special to watch each couple make this space their own - and Ike & Madisyn did just that in the most beautiful way.

Cheers to the newlyweds and the beginning of forever! 🥂

Today’s ✨Bride of The Big House✨ holds a connection that runs generations deep - she is a great granddaughter of the home’s original owner. To see her celebrate here, in a place so woven into her family’s history, is truly something special.

There’s something extra special about this one 🤍

This past weekend, the James family gathered at The Big House for a family reunion. Since 1926, this home has been a place of connection, celebration, and legacy, and it was an honor to see those traditions continue with the family who has cared for it for generations.

From shared stories to new memories, it was a beautiful reminder of what this home was always meant for. 🕊️

Start the evening at The Big House with cocktails, conversation, and a beautiful setting to welcome your guests.

Then continue the evening at the Carriage House located just at the back of the property, where dinner awaits. It’s the perfect flow for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and intimate celebrations.

Elegant, effortless, and all in one place.

✨Brides of The Big House ✨

A beautiful celebration, a timeless backdrop, and a day filled with joy that still feels just as special all these years later. This 2007 bride is our feature today - Jessica Booth wed Mark Rinaudo on October 20, 2007. We love looking back and seeing how each bride adds her own chapter to the story of The Big House.

Were you married here? We would be honored to highlight your memories, too. Send us your name, anniversary date, and favorite photos from your day. 🤍

A year ago, our beautifully restored 1947 Roper Town & Country stove returned home.

After decades of being tucked away in the carriage house, this original treasure was carefully restored and brought back to where she belongs. What once was forgotten is now a shining piece of our home’s story.

Here’s to preserving history and honoring the pieces that make this place so special. 🤍

✨Brides of The Big House✨
Each bride who has walked through our doors has become part of the history that makes this house feel like home.

Today, we’re celebrating another beautiful Big House bride and the legacy she left behind. Lannise Pennington married David Sheets on October 12, 2024.

Were you married here too? We would love to share your story. Send us your wedding photo and date to be featured in our Brides of The Big House series. ✨

✨Brides of The Big House✨

In 1961, Mary Dudley “Duddy” Burkhalter walked through these doors as a bride when she married Patrick Posey Garrett.

More than six decades later, her granddaughter will walk the very same halls… beginning her own love story right here at The Big House. 🤍

There’s something incredibly special about a place that holds generations of memories. We are so honored to be part of their family’s story once again.

Pictured with the wedded couple are their parents - Mary & Dondy Burkhalter and Mary Alice & Hoss Garrett. Flower girl is Meg Burkhalter Jones.

If you’re a Bride of The Big House (past or present), we’d love to share your story too. Send us photos to be featured.
