One item I can scratch off my bucket list. Thanks to Bob Schmid, I learned about the ravine or cliff just two miles from Peace Inn Kinzua called “Where the snake slid down”. First photo explains the name, the second google earth photo shows directly to the left of the coordinates a deep gash on the mountain side.
I’ve been wanting to hike to the top of “where the snake slid down” ever since I learned about it.
The photos don’t do it justice. It was a difficult climb. You definitely have to have confidence in your physical ability to climb this steep portion of the mountain. A lot of times I was on my fours climbing up the slopes. Once I reached the summit I felt like a mountain climber reaching the summit of Mt. Everest
It was exhilarating.
