Extreme trail riding, also known as competitive mountain trail, is a sport where participants navigate an obstacle course with varying levels of difficulty. Obstacles that you and your horse might face include bridges with float water obstacles, large teeter-totters, and steps. bridges, tunnels, push rollers, and several other creative obstacles.
*A few of the obstacles we have had the pleasure of Mark Bolender building for us here at Diamond Z Ranch, Owners- David and Elizabeth - Nail -Turnipseed.
The objective: is to navigate obstacles smoothly and without undue hesitation, to learn and understand your horse's mindset during the approach, to apply proper corrections, to adjust the spacing while trotting through poles, and to comprehend weight distribution and its role in maintaining balance, center and control with your horse. These are a few concepts for your consideration.
