Hey VROC Family! I'm reaching out on behalf of one of our Vietnam veterans who is facing a challenge many of us take for granted.

Due to mobility issues and very narrow doorways in his home, he is struggling to do simple daily tasks like carrying a plate of food from his kitchen to his dining room table. Unfortunately, he often drops his meals before making it to the table, leaving him frustrated and discouraged. He is also having difficulty getting into his bathroom because traditional walkers are simply too wide for his home's doorways. To make things even more complicated he is also his wife's caretaker and is struggling to take her meals and often drops them due to his regular walker being too wide and no place to set the plates while navigating through the doorways.

We are searching for a narrow rollator walker (20" wide or less) or a narrow 3-wheeled rollator, which may be easier to maneuver through tight spaces. The seat would allow him to safely transport his meals and provide a place to sit as he navigates the narrow areas of his home. Even a gently used one would be a tremendous blessing.

If you have a narrow rollator tucked away in a garage, closet, storage unit, or know someone who does, we would be incredibly grateful for your help. A donated rollator would make a tremendous difference in this veteran's daily life and help restore some of his independence and dignity.

Please comment below, send us a private message, or contact the VROC if you can help.

Thank you for continuing to show our veterans that they are supported, valued, and never forgotten. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Record-Breaking Turnout at Our Vietnam Veterans Breakfast Social! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

What an incredible morning at the VROC! This month we welcomed a record 48 veterans and guests to our Vietnam Veterans Breakfast Socialβ€”the largest turnout we've had yet! πŸŽ‰

The continued growth of this group tells us we're on the right track. Each month, more veterans are finding a place to gather, share stories, build friendships, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes from being among those who understand the military experience. We look forward to seeing this group continue to flourish as more veterans learn there is a welcoming place for them here at the VROC.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Jim Randolph, for sharing his remarkable journey from Shanghai to Rockwall. His story of resilience, service, and perseverance left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

We would also like to thank Allen Jones for his leadership and dedication to this growing group, and Domingo Rodriguez from the Dallas County Military Veteran Peer Network for his continued support of our veterans.

πŸ“… Join us next month on July 7th the at 10:00 AM

If you're a Vietnam-era veteran or served before that era, consider this your personal invitation. We'd love to welcome you into our growing veteran family.
