Hunter's Moon 10-16-24 Cool night, cool moon.

C2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) comet. Too much light pollution over Dallas to actually see the comet, but I managed to salvage a couple of shots. Very faint, if you zoom into the middle you can barely see it.

After leaving West, I happened to see this bridge going over the road in Hillsboro. Saw a few other photographers gathering. Parked, grabbed the camera and just as I was headed for the bridge, "I hear that train a comin'"

Big Boy Chase Round Two 10-9-24 - Perry Mefford Watched the Big Boy pull into West, Tx for a pit stop. Then chased it up to Hillsboro and caught it going over a bridge. Then he got ahead of me, so I went home.

While we wait to chase Big Boy up from Houston next week, here's one from Grand Saline last month.
