12 hens, about a year old, need a new home. The current caretaker can no longer care for them. Willing to split into smaller groups if needed. There is also one rooster. I was told that feathers are missing from pecking and over mounting. Please PM me for more details.

Update - the family found placement on their own.
West Houston area!
These two babies (believed to be pullets) were given as an Easter gift, but the family isn't prepared to care for them. They need a new home as soon as possible.

Of course the dryer is the perfect place to lay an egg!

This is the reality of running a (chicken) sanctuary... blood, sweat, tears and feathers. It isn't glamorous folks. It's pain, sorrow, fear, heartbreak and stress. But, most of all, it's love.
To all my fellow rescuers, thank you!

UPDATE - Home found!
Location--> Conroe, TX
This special little lady needs a forever home! She currently lives indoors as an only chicken, so will need patience when introducing her to new chickens and living outside. She will need to be picked up. If interested, please PM.
Second option would be for someone to meet me with her between Conroe and Brenham and she can live here at the sanctuary.

Anyone I'm the Brenham, TX or surrounding areas able to take these two dumped ducks? I feed them daily, but I'm worried about the below freezing temps that are expected this weekend.

6 hens, 3 years old, need a loving forever home where they can stay together.

I am so grateful and proud of these two amazing dogs! A bobcat snuck into the yard last and grabbed one of the hens. The dogs did their job and went after the predator to protect their charge.
Elizabeth is scratched, bruised, has a few punctures, and a broken wing, but she will recover. She is onl pain meds, topical antibiotic cream and oral antibiotics, and is resting.
I can't imagine life without our LGDs. They are absolutely the best protection from predators.
