You know what it feels like...
🗄️ Shelves full of paper.
✂️ Drawers filled with stamps and dies.
🤔 And yet you still think, “𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘐 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘸.”

That feeling is fooling you, my friend. 😐

For this card, I used paper I bought 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥.

The only new additions? A sentiment stamp set and a couple of dies.

And just like that those old favorites had a whole new reason to come out and play. ✨

That’s the fun part of crafting. You don’t have to constantly replace what you own. Sometimes, all it takes is finding 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 to make it feel fresh again.

Hey crafty friends! 👋
Have you started making your Halloween cards yet? 🤔

I made this spooky card for a 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 and as always the challenge led me in a direction I probably wouldn't have gone on my own!

With Roll the Dice we roll for various cardmaking parameters and then see what we can make from them. Sometimes things fall into place… and sometimes we have to scratch our heads for a minute! 😂

For this one I went with a bold black and white “𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁” sentiment. I blended in 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗸 from the corners leaving the center almost white for a fun, glowing spooky halo. Added a few spiderweb corner dies to finish it off. 🕸️💚

And honestly that's one of my favorite things about our 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 & 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. We do not try to make the cards identical. We're create together, encourage each other and see how differently everyone interprets the same challenge.

✨ Confession: I’ve never been much of a sparkle person.

I like my cards clean, simple and understated. But the new Sparkle Gold Shimmer by Catherine Pooler totally changed my mind! 😍

It’s not glittery or chunky. It’s a warm, soft gold that you can splatter on with a brush, adding just enough sparkle to make a card feel special without taking over the design.

I used it on this Christmas card and I think I may have just found my new favorite technique! ✨🎄

Sometimes I plan out every single detail of a card.

And sometimes … I let a pocket decide. 😂

Honestly? That might be my favorite way to make!

At our last 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 "𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 & 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲", we played a game called 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁. Everyone picks a pocket and whatever is in there becomes your creative direction.

No overthinking. No second guessing. Just open the pocket and CREATE. 💛

My pocket led me to the 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗼’𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝘁 from Catherine Pooler Designs and I paired it with a subtle white on white background using the 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗲 and white cardstock.

I love how a little randomness can get you to make something you would not have made otherwise.

And this particular Make & Mingle was just a handful of us. In some weeks, it is jam-packed. Either way, we’re 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆, and I always leave happier than I arrived. 🥰 🥰

𝗦𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝘅 𝘂𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸?
