China is expanding its RoHS requirements with the release of the *Catalogue of Electrical and Electronic Products Subject to Restriction of Hazardous Substances (2026 Edition)*.
Starting August 1, 2027, 23 additional product categories—including servers, network equipment, smartwatches, headsets, portable power banks, and electrical toys will be subject to mandatory hazardous substance restrictions and registration requirements.

Australia and New Zealand have published AS/NZS 62368.1:2026, the latest safety standard for ICT and AV equipment based on IEC 62368-1 4th Edition.
While the current version remains valid until 2029, manufacturers are encouraged to begin testing to the new version now. Existing IEC 62368-1 3rd Edition test reports may also require gap analysis to address updated national differences.
