So much of music education on social media is reduced to superficialities. But the real value of learning music is quieter, deeper, and lasting.
It is the process of sitting with something difficult, working patiently, and finally playing what once seemed impossible with great satisfaction. It is learning how discipline becomes expression, how hand & finger movements become sound with shape and emotion. It is discovering the beauty hidden in ink on a page, then bringing it to life through focus and care.
Music teaches children how to learn, how to persevere, and how to create something that did not exist before.
That journey requires dedication from parents and a growing love for the craft from the student. That is what music education is truly about.

Nearly 20 years ago 8 kids, age 12-16 called themselves "Austin Bella Corda" and recorded an album. They are all adults now. Their music received several surprising positive reviews. No one had heard anything like the music they played. It was featured in Fingerstyle Guitar magazine, KUT-FM, in concerts in Austin, Houston, South Carolina, St. Louis and Washington DC., and even in Europe. One of the simplest and most haunting tunes is here - a Memorial to old Ireland: https://soundcloud.com/kbtaylor-1/12-farewell-to-the-tain?utm_id=97758_v0_s00_e223_tv0&fbclid=IwY2xjawRYolpleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEejGjpKgOG9LbJS7E92eWIrUcXVhjuOVJ5Oa4o3LWumBtcaCvThtDWpisSFD8_aem_3BuYXaqZEFh4Sk0Gyg2U4g
12 Farewell to the Tain This is a tune off the "Gypsy Teens" album recorded in 2008. It is played by Austin Bella Corda and written in three guitar parts. The Tain was the pre-Christian Saga of old Ireland.
