School Tech Library Completion:
We are thrilled to announce the completion of the School Tech Library thanks to your generous donations. This facility will provide access to technology and educational resources for approximately 750 students from Kwegyir Aggrey Memorial, Aboom Zion B, and Aboom Zion C schools.

Together, Kwegyir Aggrey teachers, TGP’s technical team, and our U.S. volunteers worked to renovate, furnish, and commission the facility. Many students had never seen a computer mouse prior to opening the computer lab. The library includes ten desktop computers, a projector, whiteboard, book shelves, and study tables, and will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience and future opportunities for these young learners.

Siwdu Sanitation Initiative Impact:
In Siwdu, our Go Ghana ‘24 team assessed the impact of our recently completed community restroom facility. In its first month, this facility was used an impressive 7,140 times, highlighting the critical need it fulfills in the community.

Feedback from the residents has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing deep gratitude for this essential service that has greatly improved their daily lives.

This project exemplifies the transformative power of a community when its members honestly reflect on their issues and work together to solve them. Stay tuned and discover how our community-driven approach to development is changing lives in struggling communities!

We’re excited to share the incredible progress we made during this summer’s service trip to Ghana (Go Ghana ‘24), thanks to your ongoing support.
In August 2024, The Genuine Project hosted our first volunteer service trip, ‘Go Ghana ‘24’! A group of volunteers from in Round Rock, Texas and The Genuine Project’s U.S.-based founders were welcomed by our team in Cape Coast, Ghana. This trip has been a testament to the power of community collaboration, and we are proud of the meaningful impact we’ve achieved together.
Our Go Ghana team helped evaluate the impact of the completed public restroom facility, contributed to the completion and commissioning of the school computer lab, and expanded the reach of TGP through engagement surveys across four communities.
We extend a deep appreciation to our welcoming and diligent Ghanaian volunteers who acted as translators, cultural guides, and new friends alongside our U.S. team.
Stay tuned for details on the progress made during the trip!
