Thursday Tutorials are back! 💪

Starting out strong with: The Inverted Row 📐⚙️

If you want a powerful, injury-resistant upper body that translates to your sport, you need to stop neglecting horizontal pulling. Enter: The Inverted Row (sometimes called a bar pull or bodyweight row).

While everyone loves the bench press and pull-ups, the Inverted Row is the ultimate secret weapon for structural balance, protecting your shoulders, and building a bulletproof upper back.

Here is exactly how to lock in your form for maximum force transfer:

🔹 The Setup: Set a barbell in a rack at roughly waist height. Lie flat on your back underneath it. Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width using an overhand grip.

🔹 The Ex*****on:

1️⃣ Lock the Kinetic Chain: Before you pull, squeeze your glutes and brace your core. Your body should form a perfectly straight line from your ears down to your ankles. No sagging hips allowed.

2️⃣ Drive the Elbows: Pull your chest directly to the bar by driving your elbows down toward the floor. Think about pinching a tennis ball between your shoulder blades at the top.

3️⃣ Control the Negative: Don't just drop back down. Control the descent until your arms are fully extended, maintaining total core tension the entire time.

💡 Coaching Tip: Want to make it harder? Elevate your feet on a box or bench. Want to scale it back? Raise the barbell higher in the rack to alter your body angle.

Stop ego-lifting on the bench and start balancing out your posture. Your shoulders will thank you on game day.

True athletes don't guess their workouts—they log them. Here is why writing down every set, rep, and weight is a game-changer for your consistency:

There is a psychological shift that happens when you physically write down "315×5." You aren’t just scrolling past a screen; you are documenting your effort. It turns a casual workout into an intentional training session.
