Did You Know?

India is home to many vulnerable populations, and traffickers exploit victims into forced labor and s*x trafficking.

Many children in India are exploited by traffickers into s*xual slavery and abuse.

When women in India are desperate to find work, they often migrate to different regions or countries, making them more vulnerable to being s*x trafficked.

5-year-old Kashvi* was born in a brothel.

She was extremely vulnerable from the very beginning of her life.

Instead of the safety and care every child deserves, her earliest days were filled with uncertainty and risk.

But everything began to change because of your faithful support and the compassion of She Is Safe’s local coworkers.

Kashvi was rescued and brought to a She Is Safe Restoration Home where she is now safe, protected, and deeply loved.

Today, Kashvi has the chance to simply be a girl- to learn, play, heal, and grow in a safe and stable environment. She is discovering hope for the future and the truth that her life is valued.

Because of you, Kashvi now has the opportunity to grow up safe, free, and equipped to become the person God created her to be.

Life for women and girls in South Sudan is dangerous.

Traffickers exploit women and girls and subject them to s*xual slavery, forced into child marriages, or domestic servitude.

Women and girls, including abandoned and orphaned children, are exploited in s*x trafficking at brothels, hotels, and restaurants.

Mariam* has overcome enormous hardship.
Living through catastrophic instability and ongoing civil war in South Sudan, Mariam and her children are surviving a humanitarian crisis and are particularly vulnerable to trafficking.

While the threat of violence is daily, she braves her way to walk to the local church for her She Is Safe Group, where she finds great encouragement and respite.

“Spending time with my sisters in Christ each week far outweighs the risk," says Mariam.

Being a part of a She Is Safe Group has helped Mariam grow more resilient as she navigates the extreme challenges of life in South Sudan. She is learning vocational skills and being equipped with anti-trafficking training, so that she can protect her family.

Her group has helped her so much that she is now a source of encouragement for other women and girls in her community.

Inaya* was born in Bangladesh.

At 13, she was offered a job as a housekeeper.
Even though she was a child, she was eager to help her family financially.

Sadly, the job she was promised was a lie.

She was sold to a brothel where she was immediately put to work.

Since her arrival as a teenager, this is where she has lived. She gave birth to a baby boy, Raju*, who is now 8 years old.

Inaya is terrified of the day her son understands what she does for their survival.

Longing for her freedom, Inaya joined the new She Is Safe program in her area.

Here, she is learning the skills she needs to create a steady income and discovering her inherent dignity as a deeply loved child of God.

With your help, Inaya can leverage the gifts God has given her to create a future of dignity and purpose that will last a lifetime.

Because of you, the future for Inaya – and her son Raju – is being transformed.

When you partner with She Is Safe, you are changing not just one life, but an entire family lineage for eternity.
