If you or someone you know is looking to further their education but think they can't afford it even after financial aid, there is the North Star Promise Scholarship Program starting Fall 2024 at all state 2-year and 4-year colleges. This will cover the balance of tuition and fees that financial aid will not. Pretty generous cut-off of $80,000 adjusted gross income. Here is the link to check it out further.
North Star Promise Scholarship Program The Minnesota Office of Higher Education is a cabinet-level state agency providing students with financial aid programs and information to help them gain access to postsecondary education. The agency also serves as the state's clearinghouse for data, research and analysis on postsecondary enrollment...

This week we will be focusing our Teacher Spotlight on Andi Fink.
Who is your favorite designer?
Lisa Congdon
What is your favorite class to teach?
Type and Layout 2
What led you to become a designer?
I always liked being creative and drawing, and graphic design seemed like a place where I could be creative and provide a service.
What was your favorite design class in college?
At my school we had a class on Corporate Identity and Branding that was really fun. We got to create brand sets and logos for a bunch of different imagined clients like a candy company, a Mexican restaurant, a food shelf...the list goes on!
If you could only use one design program for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hands down, Illustrator. It's so versatile and fun.
What other work do you do outside of teaching?
I design and run a small gift and stationery business called A Fink & Ink that sells greeting cards, stickers, pins, patches, buttons, and more. It's a really fun way to use my design and illustration skills to do something that will make people smile.
Throughout the month of February, we will be highlighting the life and work of our DCTC Graphic Design Department Teachers. Stay tuned for more...
