πŸ–€β€οΈπŸ’š In Observance of Juneteenth β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ–€

Inroads to Opportunities will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth commemorates the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It is a day to reflect on our nation's history, honor resilience and achievement, and reaffirm our commitment to equality, opportunity, and inclusion for all.

As an organization dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their full potential, we recognize the importance of creating communities where every person is valued, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

We encourage everyone to take time to learn, reflect, celebrate, and engage in meaningful conversations about freedom, equity, and progress.

We will resume normal operations on Monday, June 22nd.

🌳🍎 Thank You, Groundwork Elizabeth & Union County Commissioners! 🍎🌳

A heartfelt thank you to our friends at Groundwork Elizabeth, Groundwork Board Member Sergio Granados, the Groundwork Elizabeth team, and the Union County Office of Open Space for partnering with Inroads to Opportunities through the Fruitful Futures program.

Recently, Inroads CEO Angela Calzone joined program participants to plant a new apple tree on our campus, creating another opportunity for hands-on learning, wellness, and community engagement.

Over the years, Union County has generously supported Inroads with raised garden beds, fruit trees, and resources that help the individuals we serve learn about healthy living, nutrition, sustainability, and the rewards of growing their own food.

These partnerships help cultivate more than gardens they help cultivate confidence, independence, life skills, and meaningful experiences for the people we serve.

Thank you for continuing to invest in our community and helping our participants grow and thrive. 🌱

June is Men's Health Month.

Health is about more than physical fitness. It also includes mental health, emotional well-being, stress management, social connection, and self-care.

This month serves as an important reminder for men of all ages to prioritize regular checkups, stay active, maintain healthy habits, and seek support when needed. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.

At Inroads to Opportunities, we encourage everyone to make wellness a priority and to support one another in living healthier, more balanced lives.

πŸ’™ Your health matters. Your mental health matters.
