This couple, both born in Glasgow although now living in Australia, brought family and friends from many countries together for their wedding the day after a snowfall in Central Park. A bagpiper led the wedding party from Central park West through the park to the Ladies Pavilion on the lake. The couple and the wedding party marked the event in the traditional Scottish way, by drinking from a quaich.

A venue in Weehawken, N.J., with a fabulous view of Manhattan was the setting for another wedding where an old friend shared memories of the couple's long and, often, long-distance romance -- and often had the couple and the audience roaring in laughter! The couple decided to add the light of a unity candle to that of the skyline.

This wedding was held at the Goggle Factory in Reading, Pa. Yes, I said goggle -- in a past life, it was a factory where goggles were made! Now, it's been a successful art center for quite a number of years, as well as en event venue. The happy couple had known each other since their schooldays, and several long-time friends gave hilarious and moving talks about how he was considered THE catch back in middle-school days -- all in all, a great affair!

This lovely couple from Vancouver, Canada, chose to get married on the waterfront in Brooklyn. They needed a native New Yorker's lungs, as river traffic, the nearby train crossing the Manhattan bridge (not shown -- that's the Brooklyn Bridge in the background), a helicopter and the the wind tried to outdo us!
