"Naked" lanterns. This is what they look like before they get wrapped.

I use burlap sometimes in the creation of the lanterns.

Multi-colored lanterns.

My current favorite lantern. Seriously, I could stare at this one for hours.

Not much to say .... off and on.

Lanterns custom ordered for my sister and two nephews. I gotta stop giving these things away. : )

These are some of my solar powered "Outdoor Lanterns". I've had them out in the yard for most of the summer to make sure they hold up to the outdoor Michigan weather. I don't think they will handle freezing weather at all. Once things start to freeze at night and thaw during the day, I feel quite sure the lanterns would be slowly destroyed. Regardless, I'll leave one of two out this winter to see what happens. : )

I made these five lanterns for a "yet unfinished" project. I planned to somehow connect them into one structure. A "line of balls" if you will.

This is the largest lantern I've made. It hangs over my driveway. It is a 45" diameter, solar powered, weatherproof lantern. I constructed it using my largest yoga ball, Tightbond III, 1600' of baling twine, orange and yellow tissue paper and three 120 lumen solar lights from Home Depot. It's been up there for about three months now.

I've got this lantern on my front porch. I constructed it with Tightbond III to help it resist moisture. It's out of direct weather but since I've got 120 AC powering the light bulb, it needs to be safe. So far, so good. It survived out there since November 2018.
