Buck Robotics had a great day competing yesterday in Ga***rd. They hit a few design challenges along the way and worked hard to improve the robot and score some points. In the end all their hard work was rewarded when they received the Square One Award for being a well balanced team in each of the categories that are scored in the competition. They had a ton of fun and are now filled with lots of ideas for what to do next!

Competition Day! Bucks Robotics is in the water and buoyancy check is good to go! One small wiring issue has already been problem solved and fixed. First Mission is at 11:30!

Today, we built a 50ft tether for our underwater ROV, getting one step closer to exploring the depths. Can’t wait to put it to the test!

🌟 Resilience and Triumph: 8th Grade Bucks Robotics Shines at Square One! 🏆

At the Square One Underwater ROV Competition, our 8th graders faced challenges head-on with the same pioneering spirit that defines Bucks Robotics. Despite their claw not being competition-ready and motors that insisted on going only one direction, our young engineers didn't lose heart. 🛠️💔

Encountering setbacks with their motors, they had to make the difficult decision to forfeit early rounds. Yet, their resolve never wavered. With inventive thinking and unyielding determination, they reimagined their UROV for the final event - a robot drag race. By aligning all motors to propel in one direction, they turned a challenge into a unique advantage! 🤖💨

Their creativity and perseverance paid off. Not only did they have a blast competing, but they also brought home the Junior Division Craftsmanship Award and the Pitch Perfect Award for their exceptional robot presentation and engineering ingenuity. 🏅🎉

The journey back was filled with joy, pride, and eager anticipation for the future. A huge thank you to our mentors, fellow teams, and supporters. This experience is a testament to what young minds can achieve with resilience and teamwork. Here's to many more achievements!

This Wednesday, Bucks Robotics embarked on an exhilarating journey to Charlotte, MI, for the Square One Underwater ROV Competition. Our 9-12th grade team hit the ground running, showcasing a fully operational robot and claw, diving headfirst into the challenges with enthusiasm. 🤖💪

Navigating the waters for the first time, their focus was clear - score as many points as possible. Through determination and teamwork, they scored in several missions, finishing strong in the middle of the pack out of 19 teams. 🏆👏

The ride back was buzzing with excitement and ideas for the future. Our team is already dreaming up ways to improve and come back even stronger next year. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us on this incredible journey. Bucks Robotics is just getting started!
