Gorgeous sunset at Maplehurst tonight. So many beautiful families out enjoying the evening. Maplehurst annual meeting will be held at the road end on Saturday, July 4 at 9 AM. It shouldn’t take very long maybe a 45 min or so. We are always looking for volunteers, donations, and new members. Everyone welcome! 😎

Not even the wind could slow this crew down! Our volunteers had fun making adjustments yesterday helping keep Maplehurst Dock in great shape for another summer on Higgins Lake. Thanks to all who have donated and volunteered so far this year. 🇺🇸

On behalf of the Maplehurst Dock Association and all who use the dock every season, I’d like to personally thank fellow board members and members Bob Wajer, Troy Lake, Paul Blackburn, Dana Odney, NickMcGee for re-decking the entire dock during the offseason, fixing the ramp and doing necessary welding repairs on the axle for the main section. This is no small task folks (especially during the winter months!). Coupled with the fresh sand Tim Coffee and Mike Mcclosky compacted this week and the new fence Lars (our awesome neighbor to the north) installed last year, our road end has never looked better!
As a reminder - we would welcome any and all volunteers TOMORROW at 9am to assist in the installation of the dock. Come meet your neighbors, see how the magic happens and be part of this amazing team that provides such a critical and valuable service for the Higgins Lake community.
Lastly, if you can’t volunteer, we always welcome donations via Venmo as this is a 100% self funded organization! Summer is close!

The sand is all spread near the road end to keep it safe for everyone around the cement barrier. It's hu**ed up currently because we are going to compact it and it will smash down this Friday. We ask that no one spreads it out anymore before then. Thank you!!
Hi Everyone! We are getting 3 yards of sand delivered today at the road end to help fill in the curb to keep it safe for everyone.
We would love help spreading it if you are around. Also we are looking to get a vibratory compactor once it's spread.
Any help appreciated. Thank you!!

DOCK INSTALL DAY Saturday, May 23, 9am at road end. If enough people show up, it should only take a couple hours
Come enjoy:
✅ Fresh Higgins Lake air
✅ Fun & camaraderie- good laughs
✅ Meeting neighbors
✅ Questionable “dock supervisor” advice from people standing around with coffee ☕
✅ A free upper-body workout nobody asked for 💪
The first few sections are now in. We need to install the rest. Many hands make light work — and the more volunteers we have, the faster everyone gets back to enjoying the lake. See you Saturday at 9AM! ⚓ Everyone is welcome and appreciated.

Boating season is right around the corner—and it’s already starting to look like it at Maplehurst.
The first few sections of the dock are officially in! HUGE shoutout to Troy Lake, Paul Blackburn and Dana Odney for getting it done (and yes the water was cold! ) —and also to Bill from Pioneer Hills Marina for the assist.
Extra credit to Dana O for the welding repairs and Bob Wajer, Troy and Nick McGhee for doing the labor for brand new dock wood that helped make it all happen. The wood was replaced after 25 years. Please donate to keep this amazingness going! It doesn't happen by itself - 😀
