Picture Perfect Remodeling

The guys knocked this one out of the park today. We still have another day of demo but we made a good dent today. I guess we can take the weekend off lads. See you bright and early Monday morning.

We just unloaded a little bit of material for a job we start next week. We're starting a bathroom remodel and doing new flooring through the whole first floor. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Seen this beauty in front of home depot this morning. The camera doesn't do it much justice. I got to hold it just long enough to get those pictures. Then it flew away. Figured I'd share the pictures with everyone since we dont see them much anymore.

We wrapped up this job a couple of weeks ago. I went over there this weekend and double-checked the tension on all the cables. It turned out great.

Here's what we did:
We removed the old railings, replaced a few deck boards, added in blocking for the new rail posts, stripped & stained the deck, and finished it off installing the cable railings. To top it all off, we had a beautiful view the entire time.

We're all wrapped up for now. We'll be checking back in on it next week to see what the sandblasting may expose. It has been an honor helping to restore this almost 100 year old log home. I can't wait to share pictures once it's fully finished. Enjoy your weekend.

Yet another perfect day for this. If you can ignore the 30lbs of saw dust in your shoes and pockets lol. And the bees 🐝, can't forget about those flying demons that just want to try to land on you for a second. For anyone that was curious on how old this place is, it was built in 1935. We'll be back tomorrow to finish up until after it gets sandblasted.

You could not have asked for better weather today. 9 log ends down, 7 more to go. We got 4 logs refaced. There's 1 more long section on the garage we're going to reface on Friday. There will probably be a few more spots that are exposed once it's sandblasted. It's coming along.

At least it was only really hot today lol. We're just getting started here. We have a few (13+) log ends to replace and (3-5) logs to reface. They have a company coming to sandblast, c***k, and stain once we finish restoration of the logs. We may have to come back if sandblasting reveals any more damage. Stay tuned for updates.

We got this cable railing wrapped up over the weekend. It turned out really nice. Here's all the pictures from finish to start.
