Jervis Public Library will open at 9:30 am (one hour later than usual) on Friday, June 26 so we can get all our dinos in a row for Summer Reading. Thanks for understanding!

Routine screenings can save lives! Get your mammogram with us at our next stop in Rome! The mobile mammography team will visit Jervis Public Library at 613 N Washington Street in Rome on Thursday July 9th, with screenings from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Planning on taking a road trip this summer? Save on tolls with an E-Z Pass purchased from Jervis Public Library!

By using E-Z Pass, you save the processing fee charged with Tolls by Mail, and depending on your area of travel, you may receive additional discounts by using E-Z Pass! Because E-Z Pass payments are automatic, you also can avoid late fees related to misplaced toll bills!

Jervis Public Library is a New York State E-Z Pass On-The-Go purchasing location which means that we sell E-Z Passes for $25. All $25 of that purchase price is loaded onto your E-Z Pass account once activated and can be used to pay tolls after a 24 hour activation window. There are other local purchasing locations, but what sets Jervis apart is that we can help you set up your account online immediately after purchase!

Our librarians are happy to help you set up your E-Z Pass account after purchase! All you need in addition to the pass is a valid email address and a payment method to connect to your account.

Remember to purchase your E-Z Pass at the library and set it up at least 24 hours in advance of your travel plans to ensure that your account will be active to avoid getting tolls by mail!

Jervis Public Library has discount Enchanted Forest: Water Safari Tickets!

Available at the front desk for $42 each, discount tickets are good for anyone over the age of 3.

Buying your tickets at the library saves you $5.98 per adult and $2.98 per child compared to the 2026 gate price at the park!

Children 2 and under are free!

Tickets can be purchased during the library's normal hours (M-Th 8:30am-8:30pm, Fri 8:30am-5:30pm, Sat 10am-3pm). Please note that the library will be closed on Saturdays throughout the summer starting on June 27th.

Are you a budding birder? Jervis Public Library has joined the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's new library lending program!

This program provides equipment for folks to try for free. Each I BIRD NY kit includes a pair of binoculars, informational flyers, a NYS Bird Trail rack card, a NYS Birding Trail Regional Guide, a Beginner's Guide to Birding booklet, and information on the annual I BIRD NY Challenge.

Kits are available now and are free to borrow with your library card! 🐦

Children (ages 3-12) are invited to play BINGO in the library Auditorium from 5:30-6:30pm on June 15th! Prizes will include candy, books, small toys, craft supplies & more!

It's time for our 5th annual Tiny Art Show! Local artists of all ages are invited to create a tiny masterpiece on the canvas provided in our kit. If you return your work, it will be displayed in the library all summer and featured in our Tiny Art Show Reception on Friday July 17 from 6-7:30pm.

The Copper Easel has once again generously sponsored some kits for us - be sure to check them out for all your art supply needs!

Stop by the library this Wednesday (6/10) to pick up this month's Children's Craft Kit while supplies last!

This month's kit contains all the supplies you need to make a UV reactive sun safety bracelet. The beads are white when indoors or out of the sun, but become increasingly bright and more colorful with sun exposure.

Once the beads start to change color, it's a good time to put on sunblock and a hat!
