My students and I built an indoor, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course at our school. They had to use math, apply problem solving skills, and collaborate. It was a fun and very beneficial activity for them. Here's a recent article in Inside Golf newspaper about our STEM project:

Elementary school teacher has unique way to introduce kids to golf - Inside Golf Newspaper Jim Franklin, a life-long golfer, knows the benefits of participating in a sport. Franklin is a special education teacher at Elm Street Elementary in Rome, GA, and wanted to design a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) project to introduce golf to the students in his school. 

I'm excited for the opportunity to present and exhibit at the upcoming Kentucky CEC conference in Louisville. My session is from 1:15 p.m.-2:45 p.m. on Monday, November 22nd. If you are in the area, I'd love for you to drop by.
