Some people think coloring hair is as simple as “just putting color on it”, but that’s not true! Hair color is chemistry, timing, porosity, and a whole lot of science 🤓

Here’s the quick breakdown:

🎨 Your Natural Pigment Matters
Everyone has underlying tones inside their hair. When we lighten, those pigments ALWAYS show up no matter what. That’s why highlights go through brassy stages… it’s biology 🤷‍♀️

⚗️ Color Doesn’t Lift Color
If your hair is already colored dark, we can’t just put a lighter shade on top and expect magic. The cuticle needs to be opened, pigment broken down, and THEN lifted. Science, baby!

🧽 Porosity Changes Everything
Hair that’s more porous grabs color quickly, fades faster, and can turn darker or warmer than expected. This is why two people with the same formula may get different results.

Multiple sessions aren’t a money grab - they’re how we safely lift through pigment without damaging your hair.

Let’s talk AI hair photos and why they’re not reliable inspo pics 🤖 🙅‍♀️

While AI hair photos are gorgeous and offer great inspiration for styles / color, they also break the laws of gravity and science.

Here’s why they can be tough (or impossible) to recreate in real life:

🎨 Unrealistic Color Blending: AI can create and mix shades that don’t exist in human hair. Real hair needs time, process, and science.

💁‍♀️ Perfect Volume / Style: digitally created photos don’t show the effects that gravity, wind, etc. have on hair. Real hair has movement, texture, and it doesn’t defy physics (….usually).

🌀 Symmetry + Perfection: AI can erase cowlicks, uneven growth, breakage, frizz, etc.

BUT!

Bring the inspo anyway! We love your ideas, even the wild ones 🤭

Our job is to take that AI fantasy and create a real, wearable, healthy version that suits YOU.

So, don’t worry… we’re not mad at the AI pics.
We just can’t promise to break the laws of physics for them. 😉
