Thank You so much to the wonderful people who attended the 2026 Painting Event fundraiser this afternoon. You're support is greatly appreciated!

And my personal thanks to Rebecca from Periwinkle Pig for hosting this event as well as her ongoing support of the R-CATS Program and to Jason who made sure that the Rome Art & Community Center was the perfect venue it's always been for our Painting Events as well as our small but awesome team including Donna, Dawn, and Gloria for their time and help with this fundraiser.

Congratulations to Laura - the winner of the Scratch Off Raffle - and many thanks to everyone who supported the Raffle buy purchasing tickets!

Because of this support, we are happy to share that the R-CATS Program has reached our goal of raising $3,000 to be able to reopen our Spay/Neuter funding program for feral, outside cats in the City of Rome.

The goal is to start accepting applications for the funding program around July 1st, depending on the schedule that works for the vet clinic we work with.

Information will be posted to our page as soon as it becomes available.

There's still time to make your reservation for our Spring Painting Event fundraiser tomorrow and be eligible for the bonus smalls generously offered by Rebecca from Periwinkle Pig. Both flowers and the dragonfly stone will come with your choice of two small flowers or a small butterfly and flower for free! The cat choice will include both the larger and smaller cat, which is free, with advanced reservations.

For $30 (payable at the door by cash or check), you will have an opportunity to pick from an item pictured below to paint at the event AND if you make your reservation before the event, you will also receive bonus items including the small cat pictured with the larger cat and your choice of two small flowers or one small flower and one small butterfly if you choose one of the 2 flower choices or the dragonfly!

Clear your calendar from 1 PM to 3 PM on Sunday, June 14th, to join the R-CATS Program at the Rome Art & Community Center for our Painting Fundraiser hosted by Rebecca Hamm from Periwinkle Pig!

Featuring your choice of item, including a selection of whimsical stones, to paint during the event as well as a sweet selection of desserts to enjoy for $30 paid at the door (cash or check).

We will also be drawing the winning ticket for the Scratch Off Raffle during this event so it will be the last opportunity to purchase a ticket for a chance to win this incredible Raffle featuring $100 worth of Scratch Off's, although you do not need to be present to win.

Reservations are requested and required if you wish to insure your first choice of item to paint due to limited quantities for some selections.

More information about making reservations will be posted shortly along with photos of the selection of items available to choose from to paint at this Event.

As always, Rebecca will also offer a special selection of additional pieces, both popular and new, that you can purchase separately to paint at home.

Thank you so much to all of the wonderful people who came out yesterday to support the R-CATS Program in our efforts to raise money so we can resume the Spay/Neuter Funding Program this year. After yesterday's event, we are close to reaching our goal of raising $3,000 and are hopeful to be able to start offering spay/neuter slots for feral cats in Rome after our next event in June - another Painting Event hosted by Periwinkle Pig on Sunday, June 14th. Check back soon for more information about this always popular fundraiser.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Lisa and all the wonderful people at DiCastro's Brick Oven, without whom this successful event would not have been possible! The venue was great and the pizza was awesome!

And I personally want to thank the dedicated volunteers who keep the Program going - Gloria, Donna, Dawn and Kathy - for another successful event as well as Hannaford for the generous donation of water for the fundraiser.
