Officers responded to the 2000 block of N Bishop Ave for a motor vehicle crash. Vehicle #1, a 2025 Ford Expedition operated by an adult male of Salem, MO. Vehicle #2, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado operated by an adult male of Success, MO. The crash occurred when Vehicle #2 failed to yield to Vehicle #1 when pulling out of a business parking lot. There was major damage to Vehicle #1, and moderate damage to Vehicle #2. 856

An adult male, 56, of Rolla, MO, was arrested for Domestic Assault 3rd. He was transported to the Phelps County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hour hold. 849

In view of these qualities, their demonstrated leadership abilities, and their dedicated service to the Rolla Police Department, the following promotions are effective immediately:

Shawn Wiles is hereby promoted to the position of Corporal.

Officers responded to the area of Highway 72 and Kingshighway for a motor vehicle crash. Vehicle #1, a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse operated by an adult female of Rolla, Missouri. Vehicle
#2, a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, operated by an adult male of St. James, Missouri. The crash occurred when when Vehicle #1 was traveling east on Highway 72. Vehicle #2 was traveling
west on Highway 72. Vehicle #1 attempted a left turn onto Kingshighway, failing to yield to Vehicle #2. Vehicle #1 struck Vehicle #2 in the front. There was major damage to Vehicle #1, and
major damage to Vehicle #2. The driver and passenger of Vehicle #1 reported minor injuries. The driver self transported for medical attention, the passenger was transported by EMS. The driver
of Vehicle #2 reported serious injury and was transported by EMS. 826

Officers responded to the 3500 block of Hy Point Industrial Park Drive for a motor vehicle crash. V1, a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia with a trailer in tow operated by an adult male of Gulfport, MS.
Object 1, a guardrail owned by the State of Missouri. V1 was making a right turn from the overpass onto North Outer Road. The crash occurred when V1 failed to drive in a single lane and
struck object #1 with the trailer. There was moderate damage to V1 and major damage to object #1. There were no reports of injuries on scene. 841

Pontiac Grand Prix owned by an adult male of Rolla, MO. V1 was backing from a parking space in the parking lot. V2 was parked in a parking spot directly behind V1. The crash occurred when
V1 improperly backed into V2 striking the rear of V2, then fled the scene. There is unknown damage to V1 and minor damage to V2. There were no reports of injuries on scene. Investigation

adult female of Rolla, MO. V1 was backing out of parking space. V2 was driving in the parking lot westbound. The crash occurred when V1 improperly backed into V2 striking the passenger side of the vehicle and flee the scene. There was is unknown damage to V1 and minor damage to V2. There were no reports of injuries on scene. Investigation is ongoing. 841

Vehicle #2, a 2014 Nissan Rouge, operated by an adult male of Steelville MO. The crash occurred when Vehicle #2 entered the roadway and was struck by Vehicle #1. There was minor damage to Vehicle #1, and moderate damage to Vehicle #2. The occupants of both vehicles reported no injuries and were not
transported by EMS.

Officers responded to the area of Bishop Ave and Highway 72 for a motor vehicle crash. Vehicle #1, a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban operated by an adult female of Rolla, Missouri. Vehicle #2, a
1997 ford F150, operated by an adult male of Salem, Missouri. Vehicle #3, a 2020 GMC Acadia operated by an adult female of Ava, Missouri The crash occurred when all vehicles were stopped in traffic traveling south on Bishop Ave. Vehicle #1 started in traffic, striking Vehicle #2 in the rear, pushing Vehicle #2 into the rear of Vehicle #3. There was minor damage to Vehicle #1, minor damage to Vehicle #2, and minor damage Vehicle #3. The driver of Vehicle #2 reported minor and was transported by EMS.

Re: Sexual Assault Investigation

On June 5, 2026, the Rolla Police Department received a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a patient receiving treatment at a medical facility in the 1000 block of West 10th Street. Detectives immediately initiated an investigation, which included interviews, collection and review of evidence.

As a result of the investigation, James H. Todd, age 42, of Ripley, Tennessee, who was working as a contract nurse at the facility at the time of the alleged offense, was arrested and later charged with:

•Two counts of So**my in the First Degree/Attempted So**my in the First Degree
•One count of R**e in the First Degree/Attempted R**e in the First Degree
•One count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree

Todd was transported to the Phelps County Jail, where he remains incarcerated without bond.
The Rolla Police Department is continuing to investigate this matter.

The charges for which the above-mentioned suspect was arrested are merely accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
