Taking an afternoon to work on a personal project! Shaping up a new fore end for my Savage 1895. Did I mention I don't do stocks? Lol.

Hello all. We've had so much cool stuff come thru the shop, but we forget to take pictures! Here, we had no choice but to pull the lower rib. It was loose, and all kinds of corrosion underneath. Yuck! Lets see when I can get time to stick it back together.

A friend's custom R***r #1. We did the metal finish (hot,rust and nitre blueing) and reassembly. Several members of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild and Engravers Guild contributed to this project, over a 30 year span, including Gary Goudy, Steve Heilman, Terry Wallace, Bob Swartley and some others I forgot!

Couldn't get the proper sight hood, so we made one.
